We were hoping to stay at Inari Inn with our family for the Gion Festival, and the listing had us excited. But the owner never replied to our request. After a couple of days, Airbnb helped cancel it so we could contact other hosts. By then, nearby places had become more expensive, which made the whole experience disappointing. The response time was poor for us.

The host was very helpful, and the location is fantastic, right in the heart of Kyoto's Gion district with lots of sights nearby.

The rest of the accommodation was okay, but the floor mattress and pillow were thin and uncomfortable.

A great place to sleep, with tatami-style flooring.
