KABIN Machi

The room was small, but comfortable enough, and the shower was wonderful. Staff were friendly and nice. The hotel is in a great central spot, about a 10-minute walk from the metro and two minutes from the main shopping street. We stayed five nights and highly recommend it. The only downside was that the room felt humid and damp during our February winter visit.

The staff were so friendly and lovely that I'd come back on my next visit, even with the cleaning limitations. The room was small, but quiet and clean, and the location is great: 7-10 minutes on foot to the main street and right across from a supermarket. My main frustration was housekeeping. We booked three nights, then added one more, but the room wasn't cleaned. Cleaning only happens after three nights unless you pay extra, and I couldn't understand why it didn't happen automatically after we extended the stay. I felt I shouldn't have to remind them. The trash bin in the room is also too small.

The room was on the small side, though it worked well enough for a couple, and the amenities were good. You can pick up extra towels yourself from the first floor. There wasn't anyone there before check-in, though, so to leave our luggage we had to walk a few minutes to KABIN Taka. I also put the “Pickup garbage” magnet on the door, but nobody came by.

It's a new hotel, and the rooms are fairly spacious by Japanese standards. But the humidity was the worst part. You can't open the window, and neither the air conditioner nor the dehumidifier did enough. After a shower, being in the room was a nightmare.
