The café was amazing, with delicious food that looked beautiful. Paying was easy too, since they take cash, cards, and IC payments. The rooms were a lovely size, with plenty of space for the three of us, and the affordable laundry machines were handy after all our walking. Washing cost 300¥ and drying was 100¥. Everyone at KéFU was so friendly and helpful, even though my friends and I couldn't speak Japanese. They helped arrange luggage transfer, answered questions about the area, and recommended places nearby and in Nagoya, our next stop. The only trouble was the nearest subway being a 24-minute walk away. That's not too bad without luggage, and there's a bus stop two minutes away, but it's something to consider if you have bags and can't take them on the bus. I recently stayed at the KéFU stay and lounge during a short trip to Kyoto and only have good things to say. Thanks, KéFU Team, for making my first trip to Japan memorable. I hope I can visit again ❤️🇯🇵

The rooms were spotless and tidy, and the lounge has a warm feel with board games, drip coffee, and other things to explore. There’s a kitchen and laundry inside too. Kefu is a little outside the centre, but it’s still really well placed, with a bus stop two minutes away that connects you to pretty much anywhere, plus 7/11 and AEON supermarket nearby. The staff are lovely and speak English well, so non-Japanese guests can feel at ease. Whoever designed this place nailed it 🤭 I’d happily come back 😊

The service was incredible, and I really enjoyed the food. I was only there for four days, but had a thoroughly good time at KéFU stay & lounge. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Renting a bike from the hostel made exploring Kyoto even more fun, and their traditional breakfast is worth trying too. We had a lovely three-night stay. The staff were warm and helpful, and coming back each evening felt like coming home. We’d love to return next time we’re in Kyoto.

It’s in a more residential neighborhood, where it was nice to see locals biking around and all kinds of businesses. The textile museum and the best wagyu restaurant we tried were both nearby.
