The apartment was quiet, felt completely safe, and was spotless. It’s fully renovated, with fixtures I wish I had at home, bamboo floors where you roll out the futon, a well-equipped kitchen with enough cookware and dinnerware for at least three people, and a roomy walk-in closet with lots of hanging and shelf space. We stayed at Yukie & Kevin's place at the end of October. The price was completely fair, so reasonable that I worried the apartment might look better in the photos than in real life. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It really is excellent. The location is very convenient, an easy walk from Kyoto Station, stores, the river, and restaurants. When we asked the hosts for something, they answered quickly. In our case, they had bicycles for us in about an hour. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. If we return to Japan and need somewhere to stay in Kyoto, Kevin's Place will be our only choice. Yukie & Kevin, thanks so much for having us. Larry, Tina & Kristen.

The room was roomy, clean, and felt like home. When we lost a bag at Fushimi Inari, the owner helped us contact the police and local people until we got it back. She was wonderful and helped us with everything. We’d stay here again on a future trip to Kyoto. Arigatou Gozaimasu.

We were happy with our stay and would choose this place again if we return to Kyoto. It’s about a one-minute walk from Kyoto station, which was excellent. The stairs looked a little dangerous.

Kevin and Yukie’s place looked very new, bright, and clean, and the cool AC felt great after the 98-degree weather when I reached Kansai Airport. I arrived late in the evening after a long flight from the States. My Japanese-speaking son had to direct the taxi driver, and I was relieved to finally spot the white building. I was too tired, hot, and jet-lagged to open the front door properly, so Kevin and Yukie came over, helped carry my gear upstairs, and showed me the basics. Their instructions are useful, so read them, and take time to explore the neighborhood. I asked to borrow the bicycle. There’s also a Lawson equivalent to 7-11 nearby, where I could pick up essentials at midnight. I haven’t tried the local eateries yet, but look forward to exploring them during my nine more days here.

Everything was very good during our one-night stay. The parking is about a 5-7 minute walk away.
