After a long day out, this was just the place to relax. The bar and cafe are gorgeous, with a really calming atmosphere. I tried the violet fizz, chocolate martini, and tequila lemonade, and all three were delicious. Kojiro and the rest of the staff made us feel very welcome.

We didn't stay at the ryokan, but we took an Ikebana workshop with one of the owners, and it was a highlight of my trip to Japan. The inn is a beautiful, distinctive space. Seanacey was a lovely host and a great teacher, and she went out of her way to suggest things to do around Kyoto. Highly recommend!

The cocktails alone would make the trip worthwhile. The owner made some of the best classic cocktails I've had in Kyoto, including an old fashioned and a martini. Kinse Ryokan is stunning inside, with so many beautiful and interesting details. Thanks for all the hard work.

We stopped in for a few drinks and found a really nice place to unwind. It's in a quiet suburb, and inside you can relax away from all the fuss outside. The drinks were very good, and the owner was super friendly and suggested some lovely ones.

The negroni was the best I've ever had, and the staff were lovely. The bar has plenty of space and isn't too crowded, with old architecture, original antique stained glass, and lo-fi jazz. Walking in feels like finding a secret club. One of the most beautiful, relaxing bars in Kyoto.
