This felt more like a family or couples hostel than a party spot, which suited us fine after full days of sightseeing. It's a short 15-minute walk to the main area, and the showers and bathrooms were always clean, with Dyson hairdryers. Breakfast was very reasonable. Extra pillows, rental bikes, and umbrellas were a nice bonus. It has restored my faith in hostels.

This was my first hostel stay and I loved it. The location couldn't be better, and the lounge, bar, and kitchen are top notch. Friendly staff, cute industrial chic decor, free bike rentals and laundry. The showers were clean, with body wash, hair product, and really nice hair dryers. I also enjoyed the Japanese scotch selection and the lowest drink prices I've seen in Japan.

We stayed three nights and had superb service from the friendly, courteous reception team, who were ready to help with any questions. Housekeeping did an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The kitchen area is very nice, and breakfast offered a wide variety of food. The hostel is well located for bus stops, with a Family Mart nearby too. We wanted to extend our stay but it was sold out. We'll make sure to stay here again on our next visit. One of the best hostels in Kyoto, definitely recommend it. Kudos to all the staff!

No wonder this hostel has such a high rating. I've never been to a better one, and I was really, really satisfied with the service and facilities. It's so clean, quiet, and smells good. Free bicycle hire with a ¥1000 deposit, and free towels. How does staying in a dormitory hostel feel like staying at a hotel?!

I’d recommend this hostel, though vegans should know the breakfast choices are pretty limited: edamame, rice, noodles, toast, jam, and orange juice. It costs extra, and none of the food is marked with ingredients or allergens, so it’s difficult to tell what’s actually vegan. The breakfast itself is amazing, the staff are super nice, and the free bike rental is fantastic. The place was extremely clean, and it’s the most luxurious hostel I’ve stayed in.
