LeBlanc Pension Utano

We came for a family trip and stayed on the 3rd of last month. Of all the places on our four-night Kyoto trip, this was the one that satisfied us most. The meals were freshly made, piping hot, and delicious. We’ll plan our next Kyoto visit for a day when Chambre d'Hôte Le Blanc is open.

I visited in October 2022, after it seems to have been rebuilt the year before. Everything felt new, and I was very comfortable. The French dinner was delicious, on a par with hotel restaurants, but the atmosphere wasn’t stuffy, so it was easy to enjoy a more upscale meal. I suspect that comes down to the owners’ personalities. The conversation was fun and made for a really pleasant time. It’s also close to Arashiyama, so it’s well worth visiting.

The inn was small, clean, comfortable, and relaxing, with a homey feel. We were three women traveling together and were given two rooms. The full-course meal was delicious, and we were very satisfied. The friendly couple who ran the inn and their daughter were easy to talk with and attentive to what we needed. It’s in a quiet residential area, near Ninna-ji Temple and Ryoan-ji Temple, making it a nice base for strolling around. ♪ Thank you for your hospitality. ♡

We hadn’t booked a place because of a sudden move, and were wondering if there was somewhere nearby. That’s how we found this lovely hotel. The room let us relax and recover from a hectic trip, and the meals were delicious and satisfying. The owner and his wife gave us wonderful service. We went to Narutaki thinking it might be our last time there, but after this stay we’d love to come back when we visit Kyoto again. We’ll look forward to that day and carry on with our daily lives until then. Thank you so much.
