Lund house - Hostel

It’s a little removed from the center of Kyoto’s action, but the bus makes it easy to get around. The Kamo river is right next door, nice for a walk along the bank if you have time. The hosts are very friendly, and the hostel is clean and comfortable. I’d recommend it to people traveling to Kyoto.

The price is incredibly cheap for how clean the hostel is. The bed was very comfy, and the cover felt smooth. It’s close to a bus stop, with convenience shops and restaurants nearby. The girl who welcomed us was really nice, and her voice and dialect made us happy.

The staff are really kind, and the private room is very good for the price. It comes with private showers, laundry, and a bar that gives you one free drink with the rental. There’s a 24h store right across the street, lots of ramen places nearby, and some drink machines. Bus stops and a subway station are nearby too.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and could speak English. There’s also a small restaurant here with good drinks and tasty meals at reasonable prices. I stayed three nights and found the place really cozy. I’d come back when I’m in Kyoto again.
