Yuzunoe Machiya House

There was plenty of room for our group of five, and the service was friendly and helpful. The place is close to heian shrine and several bus routes. A great base for getting a feel for Kyoto’s history.

A cool place to rent for a holiday. The kitchen appliances are very modern, and I’d recommend staying here.

The bathroom was a real relaxing spot, with a shower stall and a roomy stone-tiled bath that also worked as an open-air bath. There were two refrigerators with freezers, which came in handy. The kitchen was spacious, with a comfortable sofa and a big TV nearby. The dishes and other items looked stylish, and the coffee they made for me in the morning was delicious. It’s a new, beautiful townhouse with three bedrooms, all done in a clean white style. There were two kinds of pillows, and I slept well. Since we were a large group, a second sink would have been useful. Two toilets were nice to have, though having one upstairs would be especially convenient for guests of different ages.

The building is lovely and well designed, with skylights that make both floors feel comfortable. The rooms and amenities are new, and the kitchen has everything you need. There’s also a washing machine, so it works well for a group. The cleaning needs more attention, though. We found a dirty rag on the washing machine and some mold spots in the bathroom. If those things were fixed, this would be a fantastic place to stay.
