The price was low, the rooms were clean but narrow, and there was no room service. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they spoke only a little English. From the room windows you get a nice view of the Kamo river. Wifi was available only at reception, and there’s a takoyaki shop on the ground floor.

Maruya Kamogawa Terrace Private Room cost 2500 yen for one night. It’s small but clean, with a shower and no refrigerator. The location is convenient for Kamigamo Shrine.
