There's a Seven eleven right beneath the hotel, plus a large supermarket nearby. Starbucks is about 300 meters away, and there's a McDonald's for the kids. The staff were great at offering help and recommendations. Our room was huge, with two bathrooms and two showers, so the kids didn't have to fight over them. The washing machine with its drying option was a lifesaver, and the hotel provided everything we needed to use it. When we realized we'd left something behind, the hotel helped us by sending it to our current hotel. A perfect place for families in Kyoto, we won't be disappointed!

The staff and the help they gave us made the biggest impression. They were warm and gracious, took care of every need, and even provided a wheelchair when an unexpected need came up midway through our trip. I felt very well looked after and can't wait to return. We were four people staying eight nights in the two-bedroom family suite, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. Having two full bathrooms was key, and my husband stretched every morning in the tatami room. The in-room washer and dryer was great for a stay that long.

The location felt a little out of the way, about a 15-20 minute walk to Nishiki Market and similar spots. Still, the staff were very helpful, and the kids loved getting free hot chocolates every day. The accommodation was tidy and spacious, with a handy washer and dryer in the room and an ensuite. We really enjoyed our stay.

The luggage delivery service from Mimaru was reliable, with photo updates when our bags were picked up and delivered to a secure spot at the airport. It let us travel light to an onsen ryokan in the countryside after leaving the hotel. We stayed six nights in a second-floor two-room suite and were very comfortable. The hotel also held a calligraphy class during our stay and had happy hour every afternoon. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bus stop right outside gets you to Kyoto Station in about four stops.

We had a comfortable, roomy, very clean two-bedroom suite and loved having the washer and dryer. The evening happy hour with sake and beer was great. This was our favorite hotel during our two-week stay, and we'd definitely come back.
