Nishikiro

The shower setup was the main inconvenience: across the six or eight rooms, there was just one shower room for women and one for men. Two women could shower at once, or three men, so there could be a wait. There were three sinks upstairs and three downstairs, which made it easy enough to freshen up. The room itself was comfortable, with working AC, a tea set, towels, disposable toothbrushes and razors, and a yukata. The futons were comfy, and the tatami smelled lovely. There was also a beautiful pond in the middle of the hotel. A very Japanese-style stay.

The couple running the place were really kind and attentive. It’s also so close to Kyoto station, just a three-minute walk, with a family market, 7/11, and several restaurants within a minute. And the pond in the lobby is beautiful! I highly recommend staying here.

I’ve stayed here twice. The location is really convenient, and the staff gave good service.

It’s close to the train station but still really quiet. The owner was very friendly, and both the rooms and bath were clean. Simple rooms and a shared bath, all in Japanese style.
