Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

The baths are like Disneyland, with lots of different pools and options, and they need to give you dessert. Breakfast was really filling, with plenty of Japanese choices. The rooms are compact but still feel spacious. Remember to remove your shoes when you enter the property, and don’t rush into the lobby with dirty luggage! It seems like good value for families, so expect a lot of kids around.

The breakfast itself is very good once you get in. The trouble is the queue, and if you need to catch the bus, you may have to leave without eating. Being able to reserve a time slot ahead would help. Otherwise, a cool hotel with lots of benefits. The onsen spa is really big and relaxing.

Loved the onsen, breakfast buffet, free all-you-can-eat ice cream and probiotic drink at different times, plus free soba noodles at night. For what they offer, it’s great value, and I’m surprised the hotel is only rated 3 stars. Especially if it’s your first time in Kyoto, the onsen makes this a place worth trying.

We stayed at Onyado Nono Kyoto with our children and had a wonderful time. The hotel was warm and welcoming, with polite, helpful staff and everything well organised. Our room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The traditional Japanese style felt special without being intimidating for a family, while still having modern comforts. We especially loved the well-maintained, peaceful onsen after long days exploring Kyoto. We’d gladly stay again, particularly for a family wanting an onsen experience with the convenience of a well-run hotel.
