Rinn Horikawa Gojo

There are only two rooms on each floor, and ours was wonderfully big for a price that was hard to beat. After the small rooms we'd had in other cities, that made a real difference. The location was great for exploring Kyoto. Amenities are minimal, with no gym or spa, but the lobby is great and has free stuff.

The bus stop is right outside, so getting around the city was easy, and the laundry machine on the second floor was convenient. Our room was clean and spacious, and the staff were welcoming. It was quiet too. I'd stay here again.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. It was far too expensive for what we got, and the service fell short. The overall quality didn't meet what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel, so the whole experience was disappointing.

Getting around was easy, with a bus stop right outside and several more around the intersection. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the room was lovely and clean. The hotel itself was quiet. But the street noise was really loud, especially the motorbikes that sounded like they were racing every night. You'll need earbuds. The hotel provides them, though nearly all the guests may take them, and even my partner, who sleeps heavily, was woken up. I'd still recommend it and would stay again.
