The room itself was great, with a very comfortable bed. I had a room on the fourth floor with a nice city view, and the shower area had water temperature controls and almost felt like a personal sauna. The toilet was in a separate room. The property looked stylish and traditional, and was well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, although the front desk is only staffed from 8 AM to 10 PM. It was good value, too. Getting around was easy: the place is near metro stations, within an easy walk of Kyoto's main historic district and the commercial center on the river's west bank, with lots of restaurants right nearby. I stayed six nights in November 2025 and had a great time. The laundry machine was useful, but the dryer didn't dry my clothes very well. The room furniture could be laid out more efficiently, and I would've liked even a small desk. I'd stay again if I came back to Kyoto.

We started a load of laundry without realizing it would take two hours, and then had to head out for the day. We asked the staff for help, and they kindly took the clothes out, folded them really neatly, and left them in our room. Amazing service. We had a great stay.

The bathroom was a highlight: bright, spacious, and super clean. Our room was a little small, but that didn't bother us, and it was very cozy and felt really clean, which mattered most. The front desk staff were all so nice, helpful, and accommodating. It was hard to leave, and I'd definitely stay again. Honestly, do yourself a favor and book this place. The location was perfect, within walking distance of popular attractions and train stations. I absolutely adored it, easily the nicest hotel we stayed in during our trip to Japan.

The beds were really comfortable, and the neighborhood stayed quiet at night even though we could walk to so much. Gion and Nishiki Market were about 800 meters away, and Kiyomizudera was roughly a 1.2 km walk. The bus and train stations were close too. We could leave our bags before check-in and after checkout. There’s also a free water dispenser, plus a washer and dryer you can use for a fee. Our room was spotless, nicely arranged, and beautiful, and the front desk staff were always kind and ready to help. We stayed at quite a few hotels on our Japan trip, and this was the best one. I’d absolutely book it again if I come back to Kyoto. Highly recommend it.

The neighborhood was peaceful, even though we were close to the metro and central shopping area. We spent seven nights here, and the hotel covered everything we needed. The staff were attentive whenever we needed help, and our room was clean and comfortable. I’d come back if I get the chance.
