Sen Toji Uomitsu

Good quality for a decent price.

We had a great time staying here during the three-day autumn foliage holiday. It cost 14,000 yen per person for a room-only stay, which felt relatively reasonable, and having all the facilities to ourselves made it feel like living in the city. We drove, and the nearby parking was reasonably priced at around 700 yen for 24 hours. We left the car there until the next day and went sightseeing by train. The inn is a renovated townhouse with the second floor rented as lodging, just a few minutes' walk from Toji Temple. We heard none of the first-floor noise mentioned in other reviews, perhaps because we stayed on a Saturday. Upstairs, the bedroom had futons already laid out. The living room and kitchen faced the main street; on the other side were the toilet, bathroom, veranda, and study. There's a huge sofa in the living room and kitchen, perfect for lounging lol, and the kitchen has plates, cups, and utensils for simple cooking. We walked about 10 minutes to Toji Station for dinner, then picked up breakfast at a local supermarket on the way back. A Ministop is about two minutes away.

Thanks for the hospitality. The place was spacious and comfortable, and it was easy to visit Toji Temple since it was nearby.

The meals were really good, and the accommodation was clean. The loud, unsettling noise coming from the first floor was the downside.
