Stay Inn KOTO

The guesthouse felt warm and welcoming, even though the reception room was simple. I liked the atmosphere right away. The receptionist was friendly and invited us to play a cute little game. The toilets were consistently clean, and the rooms were good too. Hope I can come back sometime soon. LOVE🫶🏼

This was our favorite guesthouse in Japan by far, and I highly recommend it. It's close to Fushimi Inari, lots of restaurants, and two train stations. The host was really nice and answered our questions. Entry and room doors both used codes, which felt secure. Towels were downstairs for us to take as needed. We mostly hung out in the downstairs social space and enjoyed it; there was another lounge upstairs that we didn't use. They had coloring pictures and two neat fish tanks. Free water was available, and coffee or tea cost ¥200. A small fridge had alcohol for about ¥200. Since it rained while we were there, the loaner umbrellas came in handy. There's also a washer and dryer outside in a secure area, which I think cost about ¥200. Cons: Nothing.

It's a small hotel, but we still got to meet people from our country. The staff were lovely and helpful, and I had a good time there. When I come back to Kyoto, I'll probably stay again. StayInnKoto, thank you for your hospitality in September! The location worked well as a base, near the station and Fushimii Inari temple, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. The hotel was clean and well kept. We slept on futons, used the well-equipped kitchen, and had a dining and lounge area with manga and a TV. There was a washing machine too. :)

The staff were so kind, and the place was quiet, clean, and really cozy. There's even a little keyboard to practice on while traveling, which was a fun bonus. Its location is great for visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha when there are fewer crowds. I'd definitely come back!
