Stay SAKURA Kyoto Fuga

There were some nice touches: the bathtub was great, and the makeshift kitchen had a sink, microwave, kettle, induction plate, and cutlery. Check-in service was good, the vending machine was a cool addition, and the coffee machine made really good coffee. There was lots of luggage storage space and a really cool toilet. Still, the stay had a lot of problems, and it could have been five stars otherwise. The rooms were very dusty and dirty, especially the beds, and super tiny. We rarely got hot water. They didn't provide fresh towels or empty the bins every day, and I think they should do it at least every other day. The receptionist was absent about half the time. The location felt odd, with little nearby besides a huge Family Mart, useful for the kitchen, and what I think was an Indian restaurant. There's just one lift, and it's tiny, so it took us three trips to get our luggage up. The TV wasn't very good either.

For the price, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The service was perfectly standard, and the location turned out a little better than I expected. Good value overall.

If you're after a basic, tidy hotel in a good location, this works well. Booking was quick and easy, and even though we got there close to midnight, reception was kind and helpful. The rooms were furnished and had enough space. The water block was amazing, and the air conditioning and TV were easy to operate.

The bathroom and toilet are separate, and the bathroom has a fairly spacious bathtub. The rooms were clean, with kitchen and dining utensils included, and the service was very good. We could leave our luggage there for a while after checking out. Triple rooms usually cost $50-100. We booked online for just $110 for two days.
