Tsumugi Kiyomizu Gojo

I really liked where this place is. Lots of beautiful spots and restaurants are within walking distance, and there’s parking around the property. You can hear some traffic because it’s near the road, but that wasn’t enough to put me off. I’d highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed here for some sightseeing. The location is handy for getting around: it’s near the start of Gojozaka, the slope leading to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and you can walk to Kawaramachi-dori, Yasaka Shrine, and Shijo-dori, where Gion is. There are many sights around, plus a convenience store nearby for a quick snack. From the outside, the house connects closely with the neighboring homes, which threw us off a little at first. Inside, it’s decorated in a traditional Japanese style. It isn’t especially big, but the layout felt comfortable and relaxing. Amenities and condiments were provided, so simple cooking seems possible. The bathroom was spacious, and the high-quality shower helped ease the tiredness from sightseeing. Since the neighboring houses are so close, we’ll probably keep the bathroom blinds down. We had a nice stay and would come back.
