2/10
There are two floors, connected by very narrow, steep stairs. This place was completely unsuitable for us because of physical issues such as arthritis, knee or hip pain, or the need to get to a toilet urgently in the night. One of the upstairs beds was very uncomfortable, and the lounge seating is low and uncomfortable for watching TV. We asked for a refund because the accommodation didn’t suit us, but were refused. We lost over $1000. I’m very unhappy.

Friendly hosts and a convenient spot near the station, with a large, impressive castle nearby.

A great way to get a feel for Japanese life. The host is very friendly, speaks perfect English, and helps with anything you’re having trouble figuring out.

A lovely traditional house, though a bit narrow.

It was clean, neat, and quiet, with a good walkable distance to the station.
