I stayed here in November 2023 while walking the o-Henro route. Though the outside looks old, the interior is fresh and modern, and my room was spacious with modern furniture. The price for what you get is very good. The staff were also kind and helpful: after I accidentally left my ID card behind, they promptly sent it on to my next hotel with a gift. That was more than I could reasonably expect after causing them the extra work.

The location is the only reason I gave it four stars. It’s remote, so you’ll need a car or the local bus to get anywhere. Service, facilities, and dining were all good.

By the seashore, with a clean, low-cost stay and plenty of breakfast options.
