It had a homey atmosphere, and the staff were very polite and left a good impression. The place feels more like a business inn. The building is old but maintained, although some parts, like the toilets, feel outdated. The large, simple hot spring baths are separated by gender and close late at night. A convenience store is about a five-minute walk away. It takes around 10-15 minutes by bus from the station, then another five-minute walk from the stop. I didn’t try breakfast, but it’s apparently available for an extra 1,000 yen.

There are celebrity autographs on display, and it seems this place was a favorite lodging when there was a community hall. I stayed without meals. It’s a cozy inn with a lot of feeling, like being at your grandmother’s house. The staff are probably the owners, and they greet you gently. You leave your shoes at the front desk and put them in a rack. The building is old and shows its age, but the private guest rooms are clean and comfortable. There’s no toilet, bath, or sink in the rooms, but they have working air conditioning and power outlets. If you know that before booking, it isn’t inconvenient. The large public bath is clean and comfortable too.

On my first solo trip, I could really unwind and take things slowly. The hot springs were lovely, and it was possible to bathe in the morning too.

It’s conveniently located near supermarkets, restaurants, and convenience stores. When I told the owner I wanted to walk around the area, he kindly gave me a map and explained where to go. We checked out early after asking the day before if that was possible. I think the friendly woman who helped us until the end was the owner’s mother? Thank you very much. I’ll definitely stay again!
