The place was quiet and surrounded by nature, and having the hot spring there made it a great campsite. I went on a weekday in September and had the whole site to myself. Because the weather was poor, they let me leave my car beside the setup instead of moving it to the parking lot, which was a big help. The gravel ground drained well and made packing up easier. There was hot water in the kitchen and a microwave. The bath was pleasantly slippery, alkaline, and a bit hot, with showers that kept running without having to press a button. It's small, with one tub and around seven taps, but there's a tatami rest area afterward. On weekdays the hot spring is open from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, though it seems overnight guests can use it until 7:00 PM. Checkout is at 12:30, and they told us we could still use the baths for free after checkout. The men's facilities had two Japanese-style toilets and one Western-style one, but the Western-style toilet was out of order that day, possibly due to a malfunction. There was also a multipurpose Western-style toilet. Staff were very friendly. There aren't any shops near the campsite, so if you're coming from National Route 19, Supermarket Maruto is the last one.

After a bath, it's nice to sit back in a chair by the indoor fireplace, which they light in winter. I often stop here on my way home from Nomugi Pass Ski Resort. The price is reasonable, and although the water runs a little hot, it has a pleasant slippery feel and warms you through even with a short soak.

The roomy rest area has a nice view and is a good place to take a summer break. You can order a light meal at the front desk, which helps in Nagawa, where food can be hard to find. There are some snacks for sale too, though they're pricey, and there's a soba shop nearby whose opening days are worth checking. If you're coming by Route 158 or Route 19, stock up on food before entering Nagawa. I came for a day visit. It costs 550 yen for an adult, and each bath holds 12 people. The setup is straightforward, with an indoor bath and washing area. A view outside from the bath would make it feel much more open, though people outside would be able to see in ☠. There's not much foot traffic, so maybe the current arrangement is fine. For access, Route 19 through Yabuhara is the better choice. Route 158 can be slow unless you have a particular reason to take it. Nomugi Pass Ski Resort is great in winter, but Matsumoto City's Nagawa area is a quiet summer destination too. It's not far away, and could be a nice option for camping or staying overnight. It seems overnight stays are possible as well, so come relax and enjoy it. We look forward to seeing you.

For less than 500 yen, this day-use bath is good value, and I think its water deserves more attention. It feels smooth on the skin, with a faint alkaline smell. The water is clear and colorless, unlike the springs around Norikura and Shirahone. It runs a little hot, so taking breaks is a good idea.
