The staff were really nice and helpful, and every interaction was pleasant. I slept comfortably, and while the room was a bit old, it wasn't bad. The bathroom is another story: it looks straight out of the 70s, shows its age badly, and seems to have no ventilation. Still, I had a nice stay, and the price felt fair.

The staff did as much as they could for me and were very kind. But the building needs technical renovation. I couldn't adjust the room temperature individually, and every 10 to 20 minutes there was a loud, birdlike noise from the ventilation grill. A room temperature of 25 centigrade is dangerous for your health.

The air conditioner has no option to switch between heating and cooling, something to keep in mind in spring or autumn. The room wasn't particularly clean, and the facilities, including the bathroom, are dated. I hope the staff do a better job cleaning next time. I'd recommend a newer hotel downtown.

We could see Matsuyama Castle from our bedroom window, and the hotel is well placed near the castle and central city. It was very reasonably priced per night, with about a seven minute taxi ride to the city centre. The rooms are old and need refurbishment, especially the bathrooms, which look straight out of the 70’s, though the amenities are the usual APA standard. Unfortunately, this APA hotel doesn't have the Onsen we always liked using at APA hotels.

The room was relatively large for a typical Apa hotel, and the hardware, though aged, was good enough. Service was up to Apa standards. The restaurant was the letdown: it didn't open on time, and the woman there didn't greet us or provide good service at breakfast.
