Hiroshima Airport Hotel

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, which is wild for an airport hotel. It felt like a high-end stay, and we aren’t used to that, haha. I was completely happy with the visit and would definitely recommend it. At first I hesitated because it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at away from home. But we had no choice since it’s the only one next to the airport, and I ended up pleasantly surprised. The staff were amazing, there was a shuttle bus to the airport, and plenty of tea and coffee. I was also surprised to find an open bar for guests.

Loved it. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the amenities were excellent. Front office staff were friendly, with customer service that went beyond what I expected.

There are microwaves on the first and second floors, as well as vending machines for drinks. The main drawback is the lack of food after 10 pm: the restaurant stops taking orders at 9:30, and most airport shops have closed too. If you’re flying domestically, for example from Narita, it’s a good idea to bring microwaveable food. The location works really well for late arrivals at Hiroshima Airport. You can walk there, though you won’t need to since the hotel provides free transport both ways. The Japanese breakfast buffet is amazing, and there’s a lovely garden nearby. There’s also a large park with 12 km of dedicated path for running or cycling. You can ask for a view of the airport runway to watch the planes.

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help, and breakfast was really good too. If it’s still daylight, take a walk around the water for some peaceful scenery. It’s a great place to stop for the night while you’re in Hiroshima.
