The rooms are small, but they were clean and had everything I needed, including body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. The staff greeted us with smiles and were kind at both check-in and check-out. I don’t get why the reviews rate it so low. I’d gladly stay here again. It’s about two minutes from the station, too.

A nice hotel, less than a 10-minute walk from Mihara Station.

The shower and sink share taps, which could be a real nuisance if you want to use both. The heating was the bigger problem, though: the heater was up near the ceiling, and the top bunk got far too hot while the bottom stayed cold. I took the upper bed because my father couldn’t climb up to it. I woke up drenched in sweat and felt dizzy from dehydration, and couldn’t easily get down. He told me he’d turned the heater up because he was cold, so I got even hotter through the night. Terrible setup.

It’s a Showa-era business hotel, and the building feels worn. There was a smoking smell throughout, and the futon bunk beds were bizarre. On the plus side, it was reasonably clean and the service was nice. I’d pick it mainly if there were no other options or I just needed somewhere to sleep for the night.

The bed is awkward to get in and out of. You can’t adjust the air conditioning either, and in autumn it only blew hot air even though the room felt like summer.
