Yashima Nada Onsen Tresta Shirayama

The public bath was old and very basic, with no water provided, and the hotel is far from city attractions with no convenience store nearby. That added to an already frustrating stay. We booked and paid for a Japanese-style room for two adults and our kids, ages 10 and 12, but arrived to find just three beds and three towels. We squeezed into those beds the first night. When we asked for a bigger room the next day, they put four beds on the floor in the same room, leaving no space to walk around our two large suitcases. The hotel wasn't full, and we saw very few guests, but staff kept insisting we'd booked for three people even after we showed them the confirmation for four. We're very unhappy with the service and won't recommend the hotel or return.

It's an older hotel, but it's been kept up well. Our room was spacious and perfectly clean, and being outside the city made the place quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed the large outdoor pool. It's shallow, so good for kids, and only 500yen for guests. A good experience.

The staff were really nice, and the stay felt worth the price. A lovely place to stay while we were visiting family.

The building feels dated and a little run down, but dinner was excellent. The onsen was quite good, and the service was good too.
