The Japanese hospitality was consistent from arrival through departure. The food was fresh, tasty, and nicely served, and the staff were attentive and polite. I travel a lot and love hot springs. My test is whether my constant back pain feels relieved the next morning, and this onsen passed. There’s also an outdoor bath, which is especially nice in cold weather. We stayed in a clean Japanese-style room, sleeping on futons on tatami mats. It had all the necessary amenities, and changing into a yukata made the Japanese-style experience feel complete. From the eighth floor, we had a marvelous view of a small Japanese town among the hills. The room also had a kotatsu, a low table with a heater and blanket. We tucked our legs under it and enjoyed tea and conversation as a family, a must-try in Japan during the cold season. There was even an old Nintendo game console, a hello from the 20th century. My son had fun playing it.

The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, and the hot spring is great. It’s worth the 80-minute drive from Kurashiki.

The staff were so kind, and the facilities were comfortable. The hotel runs a free shuttle from Okayama station once a day, which says something about its reputation. A Korean man has recently joined the staff, which may make things more convenient for Korean visitors. He was sincere and courteous. I’d love to have another wonderful stay at yunogo grand hotel.

I’m here for a seven-day work assignment. The hotel looks old, but it’s very affordable, and the staff are exceptionally kind. The food is delicious and the onsen is relaxing. There’s enough parking for the whole floor, even if the hotel is fully booked. With views of hills and rice fields, it’s easy to fall in love at first sight. Good job, Yunogo Hotel.
