Yunogo Onsen HOTEL YUNOMORI BISYUNKAKU

The garden was beautiful, and we were lucky to see it on a rare snowy morning. We were a party of four, split between two room and dinner menu categories. The free courtesy shuttle took us to and from Okayama station. The staff were superb, and the onsen was stunning. We loved the food, and both the Public bath Onsen and Garden Onsens offered great outdoor experiences. Our room had an outdoor tub too, though that one wasn’t onsen water. Highly recommend!

The breakfast buffet had a wide selection, and we upgraded dinner to the Nagi beef option. It was delicious, though a little pricey. The Manager in the dining hall was friendly and helpful, explaining activities in the area. There’s a table tennis table and a small diner in the hotel, which was handy. Our Semi Suite Double room seemed newly renovated and was very comfortable. The hotel itself was beautiful, the onsen was spacious and very clean, and the colourful yukatas were lovely. Parking was free and the place was easy enough to find. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. We’ll certainly come back.

The garden onsen is worth a visit, even if the walk there makes you a bit cold. That just makes getting into the bath feel even better. We were lucky to see the beautiful traditional garden outside the lobby covered in snow. It’s a lovely onsen hotel with gorgeous surroundings and excellent service. Just be warned if you book the dinner plan, there’s so much food! It can leave you ready to crash, and we missed karaoke and the other entertainment because of that, haha.

We stayed two nights and got to try both sides of the onsen. The rooms were very comfortable, with nice chairs facing the picturesque gardens. The food and onsen were excellent, and the staff were kind, attentive, and very helpful. They used translators to communicate with us, and it worked fine. The ryokan is a little far from town, so a car is recommended for getting around. It’s about an hour’s drive from both Okayama and Himeji. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend it.
