Azuki Onsen Kaboku No Yado

We made some great memories here. Our separate cottage had its own open-air bath with hot spring water flowing continuously, which was fantastic. The room, amenities, and food were all lovely, and the staff were wonderful hosts with lots of thoughtful services. Thank you very much.

The building was clean and looked well cared for. Since I was there on a weekday, there weren't many guests, and I got to enjoy the hot spring by myself. The Wi-Fi in my room showed a "cannot connect" message and wouldn't work. I hope they can fix that. Thank you.

Everything felt just right: the service, food, surroundings, and hot springs. It was quiet and relaxing. The water was a little viscous, with a pH of 8.2. I stayed on April 23, 2026.

I stayed in August and was welcomed when I arrived, with help carrying my luggage. The water felt slightly alkaline and a little hot. Listening to the river and insects outside made the stay very relaxing. Dinner was sukiyaki, and breakfast matched the photo. Both meals were tasty and generous. I had a toothache in one of my back teeth that day, though, so I left a lot of dinner. Sorry about that. I have two things I'd like them to consider adding. A cold plunge could be made with a barrel or a large water container, and one or two reclining chairs in the outdoor bath would be nice. Both the indoor and outdoor baths are hot enough to make me sweat, even without a sauna, and there isn't a cold bath to cool off in. The shower water is limited too, so you can't stay under it long. Minami Aizu is cool outside, but there are no chairs or loungers to sit back and relax on. Sauna relaxation is popular these days, and I think many people are looking for saunas. Still, hot water doesn't mean a sauna is necessary. I'd simply like a cold bath. Adding those two things could bring more users and give people a reason to return. It shouldn't require renovations, so please consider it. All in all, it was a great place.
