Ama Terrase was about halfway around our Awaji Island Once Around cycling route. We booked a room with the Awaji Beef BBQ set, and after that exhausting final stretch on the bikes, the barbecue really hit the spot. It was amazing. There was plenty at breakfast, with lots of extras like yogurt and natto. The hosts were friendly and thoughtful despite the language barrier, and did their best to help us. After we arrived, they had already filled and warmed the bathtub for us, which was a lovely touch.

Back for my second stay, this time I came by bike for the first time. Really nice place, amazing dinner, and a warm family feel.

We were three people staying at this Awaichi Bicycle Inn. The owners are a friendly married couple, and the husband used to cycle. They let us bring our bikes into the dining area, where they were stored safely indoors. Our room had two bunk beds, air conditioning, a TV, and a table, so it was comfortable to relax in. There's a shower, but the owners told us the open-air bath would be ready soon, so we used that instead. It was big enough for two, or for one person to stretch out in. For dinner we had curry and roast beef salad, plus a beer to celebrate the first day. At 7 the next morning we ordered breakfast: tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), natto, shirasu (whitebait), pickles, miso soup, and Awaji yogurt. It was delicious. The owners saw us off as we left, and we started day two in high spirits. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Washing machine: ¥100. Dryer: ¥100 for 20 minutes.

The open-air bath, heated with firewood, was especially lovely, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. I had a relaxing stay at Awaichi. The room was on the small side, but it was clean and perfectly fine.

We had a really relaxing two-night stay. The children loved the ping pong table, and the open-air bath was wonderful. The food was good, and the staff were very helpful. Thanks for getting the fireworks ready. Our room had a tabletop mirror and hairdryer, which seems to have been addressed since some earlier reviews said they weren't there. I gave four stars because there was no toilet in the room, which was inconvenient. My child woke me twice during the night. It's a stylish, pleasant place surrounded by nature.
