Lovely views of the big bridge while enjoying the hot spring. They also serve a delicious buffet for dinner and breakfast. 🥞

The hilltop location is convenient, though most rooms seem to have only a partial sea view because of the nearby slope. Our room was clean and well serviced, and there’s plenty of parking. The onsen is modest in size for a hotel this large, but it’s well managed. Staff were friendly and doing their best, though they might need more training. Having Google Translate handy is useful.

The sea is right beside this campsite, so you can set up your tent facing the Seto Inland sea. There are roughly 20 pitches, laid out with a good sense of space. The grounds have been expanded or renovated in recent years and seem well looked after, from the plants to the quick cleanup after someone checks out. It’s easy to reach from the motorway, too. The hotel’s baths are available to campers and are pleasant, though 900 yen feels steep for a bath. Check-in also took longer than it should have. There was a queue of campers, but only one receptionist was handling them while two others were left for hotel guests, even though none were waiting. We stay at Kyukamura properties often, and the welcome for campers can go either way. Here, we felt more like an inconvenience. Even so, it’s a lovely site and I’d recommend it.
