Bay Resort Hotel Naruto Kaigetsu

Some people call the place aged, and that’s true, but the location, excellent food, good service, and big windows with a view make it a fine place to visit. They also use a dumbwaiter to deliver food safely.

The breakfast was hearty and delicious: fluffy tamagoyaki, lots of small sardines and Naruto wakame, plus Naruto kintoki sweet potato chips. It made me want to try dinner too. The inn has a large public bath, and although the water was a little hot, bathing while looking out at the ocean was pleasant. The staff were kind, and I’d love to come back. I stayed one night on a two-day plan that included breakfast and tickets to the Otsuka Museum of Art. The room had amenities and Wi-Fi, and a lovely view of Naruto Bridge and the sea. We could watch ships passing. It had a retro charm, and though dated, it was clean and comfortable.

The young man who served us was modest and kind, and made us feel comfortable. The Naruto Bridge looked beautiful at dawn. The large public bath has a real sense of history, and I recommend the room bath for its spectacular view. I thought breakfast was a bit too much, but the local produce was delicious, and I finished it quickly.

The views of Onaruto Bridge from our room were stunning, and the reviews seemed accurate in both their praise and criticism. Negative reviews didn’t particularly bother me. I’d like to return and see it around the new moon. Finding the entrance can be tricky because light obscures the hotel sign. Go just down the slope, take the narrow passage immediately before the sign, and the parking area is right ahead. There’s room for one car. Senjojiki is just behind the building, with amazing views of Onaruto Bridge. The Onaruto Uzu-no-michi Trail is about a five-minute walk away. It takes longer to reach from other paid parking lots, so I’d recommend staying here if you plan to visit Uzu-no-michi.
