The guide was reliable, and the accommodation was clean, so I was very satisfied using this place for both surfing guidance and a place to stay. I'll definitely come back next time.

Even with the parking restrictions and the issues that come with the arrangements, I enjoyed watching the rocket launch here. That's hard to avoid each time. Of the several viewing spots, Emi-no-yu has the best view❗️ I came for the H2A No. 50 final launch, my second visit after watching the H3 launch two years ago. JAXA will surely keep launching the H3 minor change versions without problems, and I'd love to return for another one‼️

The owner is gentle and nice, and the guesthouse has clean Western-style and Japanese-style rooms. It seems to mainly attract surfers and people coming to watch launches. If you're visiting for the hot springs, though, you might find it a bit disappointing. I found the website photos were old, and the shared dining room was messier than I expected, with the feel of a space the owner lives in. The rooms themselves were clean, but a big stain on the chair made me not want to sit on it, and I saw two spider webs on the ceiling. The private room toilets don't have showers. You can still hear sounds from next door and the dining room despite having a private room. The room view was kept up, but from the dining room you could clearly see cardboard and other things left around at the back, which was a turn-off. There was no sign showing the way to the guesthouse by car, so finding it was a little difficult.

The grounds have limited entry for launch viewing, and I think people are allowed in after 7 PM, so plan for that. Parking is on a narrow road, which could be tricky with a large vehicle. Getting here without a car is also awkward, though a taxi might work. It's an amazing spot to watch a rocket launch up close. I almost don't want to share it, but I found it on Google Maps... (＞person＜;). If you didn't win the lottery, I highly recommend it. Launches are always delayed, but knowing about this lodging makes the wait more enjoyable. The H3 launch unfortunately failed. I hope they get their revenge someday, and I'd love to come back to support them. No complaints, 5 stars! Great place!
