Hotel Shoumeikan

I was here for business and found the stay really comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and pleasant, and there’s a large public bath on the second floor. A paid coin laundry is there too, with a waiting area that has manga and vending machines. You can pick up the amenities you need by reception and take them to your room. They even lend out nail clippers, a handy little touch. The business hotel sits just south of Mishima Station, partway up a hill, with reception on the second floor. I’d happily stay again.

Mishima was such a lovely, quiet town to use as a base for exploring the Mt Fuji area. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from Mishima station, with shops and restaurants nearby, a nice park just around the corner, and a direct bus 65 to Mishima Skywalk and the Lake Ashi Hakone area. Atami beach resort is two train stops away. The location worked really well for me. I had a double room. It was small, but comfortable and clean, with a nice outlook over the city and mountains. The room felt quite spacious by Japan standards. Breakfast was good, with both Japanese and international options, and the staff were friendly and polite. I’d recommend it.

The room was bigger than I expected for Japan, and I liked it. We had a great one-night stay very close to Mishima station. The staff were good and breakfast was nice.

It’s a very good hotel, though a little far from Mishima station. The kitchen staff at the restaurant were especially kind. Since we were staying with our children, they asked about our preferences and kindly checked what my picky-eater daughter wanted. The place was clean and comfortable.
