Sakyu Onsen Yumeron

The "hana" dinner course was extremely tasty, though the portions would be a challenge, and it wasn’t quiet. The baths were busy with local working-class people and families with little kids. I enjoyed my visit, but this felt more suited to local people than to foreigners.

The food is very good, and there’s an outdoor bath as well as an indoor one. It’s a really nice place for an overnight stay or a day trip.

A great spot for a day onsen too. Be sure to try the naturally carbonated bath and the salt bath.

I generally like this hot spring facility, and the baths themselves are great, with carbonated and open-air options. But the cigarette smell from the smoking area by the rest space at the back right of the front desk is strong when you get close. The management also seems sloppy. The website says they’re open, but I’ve gone there to find the place closed. A sign on the entrance’s automatic door says Wednesdays are closed, yet they actually close on Thursdays. The information keeps seeming less consistent, and I’m starting to distrust them. Do they even check the signs before putting them up?
