Comfort House in Miyakojima

I chose this place because I wanted a peaceful break instead of a crowded hotel, and came here for three days of golf. At night, the insects and birds are easy to hear, and from the rooftop I could see countless stars. There aren’t any houses nearby, so it’s incredibly quiet. The fresh local vegetables and Japanese dishes at breakfast and dinner were so good that I finished every bite. My room was spotless and comfortable, and I slept soundly with the windows open to let in the fresh air. The owners even prepared a Korean menu for dinner on our second night, which was very thoughtful. I found this place while looking for a highly rated stay, and I’d love to come back next time.

After dinner, lying in the rooftop hammock and looking at the full starry sky and the Milky Way makes all the tiredness and stress disappear. If you’re lucky with the timing, you can even see fireworks from the foreign hotel in the distance. And petting the gentle, friendly resident cat, Aira, is wonderfully soothing. I keep thinking there’s nothing this place lacks for me, and I’m already looking forward to my third stay, booked for 2026, with my family. We’ve all become fans of the food and drinks, which are the best. The rooms are stylish and thoroughly cleaned, and I always sleep deeply. The beach isn’t right nearby, but it’s only a few minutes by car, so that’s no problem, even though it’s the one thing I rated four stars. In an area full of beachfront places costing tens of thousands per night without meals, I’m truly grateful for the fair price here. The kind, incredibly considerate couple run this little hotel. I’m proud of myself for happening upon it on GoogleMAP. I sincerely recommend it to everyone I know who wants to visit Miyakojima, and hope you’ll give it a try too. I can’t wait for next year!

The food and drinks were delicious, and I left feeling completely refreshed after my one-night stay. The room was so clean, comfortable, and stylish that you’d never guess the inn has been around for a few years. I had a lovely time and would like to book ahead and stay longer next time. 😌

I was really taken by the cute cats, and the staff were gentle and kind. My room was clean and smelled lovely, and I enjoyed the delicious breakfast during my two nights here. I definitely want to return!!
