The beds and bedding were comfortable, and while the shower area was cramped, the strong water pressure felt great after a long day out sightseeing. Our room had the basic things we needed, and the hotel is conveniently placed near plenty of businesses of interest. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. The guest book had useful information and was clearly written in both English and Japanese. I also found the emergency and security arrangements reassuring. Our visit to Miyako was trouble-free and memorable. Thanks to the hotel and staff for making the stay more enjoyable.

The rooms are fairly spacious by Japanese standards, with private bathrooms that are fully equipped. There’s free laundry service and plenty of parking. It would be nice if room cleaning were offered on request or every two days.

The bathroom setup takes a little getting used to. The shower is built in an unusual way, and the toilet sits in a raised room behind a heavy glass door, which made nighttime bathroom trips awkward and uncomfortable. That said, the place was the cheapest I found with this level of cleanliness. It had all the amenities, cold A/C, hot showers, and very stable Wi-Fi. I tested the connection during a three-hour business meeting. There’s a FamilyMart about a 30-second drive away. For the price, it was well worth it.
