The wedding team was very good, from the coordinator and hair and makeup staff to the MC and kimono attendant, though the stay wasn't cheap. The room itself looked incredible, but poisonous African Mai Mai snails were all over the road and back porch, and there were earwigs and other bugs inside. The regular hotel staff were less impressive. Reception took far longer than necessary, then we waited another 20 minutes for someone to drive us less than a minute to our door. They could have explained the golf kart and let me take it myself. This is a small gripe from someone who's spent most of a working life in customer service, but with so few guests and our wedding at the hotel, I thought a room upgrade would have been appropriate. Kurimajima has only one route in, which gets tedious with so many drivers unfamiliar with Japan. The island is beautiful, though Miyako is beautiful everywhere. Maybe this is just a bitter point, but stop the gentrification of Miyako.

The food was delicious, and the rooms were clean, with smart TVs that had Netflix and YouTube. The view was great, and the rooms with private pools were the best. It's about a five-minute walk to the beach, past the Kissho restaurant.
I really enjoyed getting around by cart, and the service and amenities were great. The beach was an amazing find, probably the best hidden spot on the property. Highly recommended.
I came just to relax, and my little villa was perfect for that. The quiet beach was beautiful, and the spa and bikes for rent made the stay feel like good value. Breakfast was included and very filling. The airport shuttle is included too, though it isn't available after 1730.
The view and facilities are very nice, but the staff felt robotic and I didn't feel much hospitality. They asked every arriving guest about food allergies, but it seemed like empty formality. They didn't even read what I had written, and breakfast was a buffet, so that felt like a waste of time. At night, lots of bugs are drawn to the lights and end up dead in the pond. It wasn't pleasant to see. There's not much to do in the evening, and the place is quite pricey. I wouldn't stay more than one night.
