The room was huge compared with my small one in Tokyo, almost like a castle, and it really impressed me. I expected something more like a guesthouse with private rooms, since the toilet, bathroom, and kitchen were shared, but it was even better than I’d imagined. The common areas are spacious and stylish, and you can cook whatever you want. The owner is considerate and makes things easy to use. We were even allowed to use the seasonings. The washing machine is free, and there’s a balcony for hanging laundry. There’s also a sunbed where you can relax and look at the stars at night. I wanted to stay for days. The garden is well maintained, and we ate breakfast at a table in the garden. They recommended places to visit, and we had a wonderful two days. We even saw sea turtles at one of their recommended spots 🐢. I’ll definitely come back to Miyako Island. The photo shows the flowers we got when checking out, and the video is of the breakfast we made ourselves 💕

That view from the room is fantastic, and the place is kept very clean. The entrance is narrow, though the garden is lovely, and the owner can set up a barbecue if you ask. The owner lives on the property, which gave me pause, and honestly I wouldn't call it a couples' getaway. Families, I think, would be very happy here. Aside from that, I'd give it five stars.

Bring your own toothbrush. There's toothpaste, but no toothbrushes. I cook for myself, so I really appreciated being told I could use the owner's supplies and the seasonings in the fridge. The living room is huge, with an ocean view from the second-floor balcony, and the water is only a short walk away. Great for a stroll, especially at sunset. The road right by the building is so narrow that you can only get in if you park facing forward. I've been to Miyakojima many times and would happily stay here again.

We had plenty of room to relax together as a family, and being right by the sea made our morning walks easy. It felt much more comfortable than a hotel, almost like being at home. Everything was spotless, and the furniture, appliances, kitchen tools, and seasonings were all there, which made the stay really convenient. We'd definitely come back to Miyako Island and stay here again.

A really affordable place with a homey feel you don't get at a resort hotel. It was handy for both town and the beach: Maehama Beach and the airport were about a 15-minute drive, while a small mall with supermarkets and restaurants was around 10 minutes away.
