We picked Miyako Daiichi hotel for a family trip because of its location. There was plenty of parking, and restaurants and convenience stores were close by. Our room felt recently remodeled, with two good-sized beds, lots of space, and a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to rest. Wi-Fi was reliable and decent. There was a table and refrigerator with a microwave two floors down. The staff were courteous and helpful, and we appreciated them keeping our bags until check-in. The only small issue was the big gap under the bathroom door, which made ventilation poor.

The front desk staff were friendly, but the rest of the hotel was a frightening mess. The place felt dirty, old, and haunted. Renovations seemed to have skipped most areas, including the elevator, guest room, and facilities, though the air conditioning was new. My room and the corridor smelled really bad. The mattress had broken springs that kept poking me, and it sagged enough to give me a backache. I also heard noises and movement during the night, and felt a weight pressing on my body. It was scary and horrible.

For my two-night stay from August 18-20, 2019, I thought it was great value. The hotel has 30 free parking spaces and a convenient location for tourists. I had buffet breakfast at the hotel, then Miyoka beef dinners at nearby restaurants.

The location is just right. The facilities are a little dated, but still in pretty solid shape. It’s a good hotel for what you pay 😃
