Tabino hotel Villa Miyakojima

The garden jacuzzi was a lovely way to unwind. This quiet villa seems well suited to families wanting to relax, and it had useful amenities like a washer with dryer, pots, pans, and dishes.

The gecko in our room kept making loud noises from the walls and ceiling at night, waking us several times. It hid behind the air conditioner or high up on the walls and ceiling, so we couldn't catch it. That made it hard to sleep properly when we were already tired. The other concern was check-in: we asked for a receipt but didn't get one, so I had to return for it. That's when we found we'd been overcharged and had to settle the bill again. If I hadn't gone back, I would have paid more than I should have, which worried me. There were plenty of good things too. For around 10,000 yen per person per night, we had a spacious room with a garden and a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well, and the room didn't feel humid. Amenities and bottled water were provided, and having a drum washer-dryer was convenient. I think it's a very good place to stay, and I'd feel more confident using it again if those issues were addressed.

A few practical touches made the stay easy: there was Saran Wrap, kitchen paper, tissues where we needed them, and a speaker. The SHARP washer/dryer, kitchen gadgets, rice cooker, microwave, and BRUNO meant we didn't need to bring anything. The layout flowed well, and the bathroom was spacious enough for the whole family. The balcony was roomy too, and my one-year-old loved it. The Refa hair dryer and Vidal Sassoon curling iron will appeal to girls. MaxValu is under a 10-minute drive away, and the fishing port is close enough for a walk to the ocean. We saw a beautiful sunset. Just remember check-in is in the city, not at the hotel. The room and cleaning were very neat and clean. We loved the stay and would happily come back! ☺︎ ♡

With the whole building reserved for us, we could relax without worrying about other guests. The outdoor shower was handy right after coming back from the beach, and the coffee maker, microwave, and fridge stocked with complimentary Sanpin tea, Orion beer, and mineral water were appreciated. Our family of six was comfortable, with spacious beds and an extra bed so our baby could sleep soundly. The kitchen-living room had cooking tools and tableware, so we made our own meals. Having a washer and dryer was reassuring with children. It felt like our own holiday home, and everyone was happy with the stay. We'd use it again on a future visit to Miyakojima.
