At night the sky was packed with stars, more than I’d ever seen before. The place itself is quiet, surrounded by the sea and fields, and I could really unwind. It was my best stay on Miyako Island. My room was clean and convenient, and finding a loft was a nice surprise. We had a fun evening chatting with friends around the easy-to-use barbecue grill set. Kacha, the owner, was especially kind and friendly, and we hit it off right away. I’ll definitely come back. Thanks!

The owner was wonderful, and we left with a really lovely memory of our trip. The place felt more like a home than a hotel. My partner and I stayed for one night and two days, and it felt like living together for a bit rather than simply traveling. Daily necessities are provided, and there’s karaoke, a BBQ setup, and car rental too, so there’s plenty to enjoy. It’s some distance from the airport, so you’ll need to pay for a taxi. We still thought it was a great place. The weather was bad that day, but we could see stars at night. You can BBQ outside, though there may be lots of insects depending on the season, so bring repellent. We’d stay here again on our next trip to Miyako Island.

The comfortable sleeping setup worked well for four adults: two of us used the loft, one stayed downstairs, and the fourth had an extra bed with a mattress and futon. We spent three nights and four days here, a group of old friends from our student days, and it was a great cottage for a close getaway with friends or family. The owner and his wife were attentive to details, and the amenities were excellent. Having plenty of towels and marine gear was especially helpful for our beach-focused trip. There are several big supermarkets on the island, so we got supplies and used the large gas BBQ grill.

We’ll be back! The sunsets are beautiful, and the indoor karaoke was such a fun way to unwind. There’s a tennis court too, which the kids absolutely loved. We also enjoyed a BBQ, and the heated pool nearby means there’s fun to be had from spring through autumn. The comfortable atmosphere, the owner’s lovely personality, and all the thoughtful supplies, from seasonings to cooking utensils, made for a really satisfying stay.
