Aoshima Suikoen Hotel

There were black marks all over the room and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. When I asked staff for extra cushions because there weren't enough for everyone, they refused, and their attitude was awful. I had been looking forward to my Miyazaki trip, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to people coming for the Giants' training camp. I'd stay somewhere else.

We stayed as a parent and child. The building is a bit old, but the location is great and we had a good stay. Service was mixed, though it was satisfactory overall. Both dinner and breakfast were tasty, with care and creativity put into the food. Two sports teams were staying there, so it was noisy, but you could feel how much fun they were having.

The food was the highlight. Dinner and breakfast were so satisfying that I skipped lunch, haha. The hotel has a big public bath and sauna, and the Japanese-Western style rooms are very comfortable. I stayed five nights for work with both meals included, despite the negative reviews I'd seen before. There aren't any convenience stores nearby, but the downtown area is nice. I'd happily stay here again.

We stayed for eight days during a training camp from Osaka, and the staff took good care of us. Our group of 30 university students who are still growing were very happy with the food, both the portions and the taste. I've been to lots of camps, and the hotel seemed renovated, so I don't think the old reviews tell the story of our stay. The public bath was cleaned thoroughly, and the shampoo, conditioner, and other toiletries smelled nice and seemed thoughtfully chosen. Laundry was easy: there were plenty of machines at 300 yen each and about eight dryers, 100 yen each for 30 minutes. We never had to wait. There were also lots of vending machines. The convenience store is a bit far, but bicycles are available to borrow, so that wasn't a problem. My experience in March 2025 was very good, and I'll definitely come back.
