The location is on the edge of downtown, which isn’t bad, but it’s not especially convenient either. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby. It might work for business travelers trying to keep costs down, especially if they bring their own lunch. I wouldn’t want to stay there again. I stayed in June. I can’t say I never want to return, but I’d rather find somewhere else if I can. I’d also warn people booking early bird discounts through point sites. I reserved a larger Japanese-style room for one person at an early bird rate. On arrival day, I called about parking, and the hotel asked if I’d switch to a regular room at no extra charge because cleaning the room would be a lot of work. I wasn’t expecting much since I only needed a place to sleep, so I agreed. But then the conditions changed and the points weren’t credited. It seemed the hotel didn’t want to pay the point site a reward. I hadn’t expected that and agreed too easily. It felt like a nasty, almost continental-style attitude, and that attitude seemed to show up in other things too. I think I was on the fifth floor. When I stepped out of the elevator, a blast of hot air hit me. The room had no air conditioning, so it felt like a sauna for a while. The electricity shuts off automatically when you leave, and I came back drenched in sweat each time. The outlets were in a strange place, so an extension cord is definitely needed. There’s no full-length mirror, so bring your own. The worn slippers were unappealing, and the bathroom, with its combined toilet and shower like an apartment, had mold on the curtain. That’s common in older places, but still disgusting. The front desk guy wasn’t terribly unfriendly, but he wasn’t especially nice either.

By the end of four nights, there’d been no cleaning and no sheet change, and the bathroom was especially bad. It had a lot of mold that came off easily, making it seem like no one had cleaned it. There was dust, mold, and trash from the previous guest, plus quite a few bugs because the hallway windows were left open. It was so dirty that I developed allergies. A classic case of cheap but bad.

The reception staff were very polite, and I’d like to stay again. There was no shower in the room, but I only needed somewhere to sleep, so I really appreciated the low price.

My room was Japanese style, with a sink but no soap, so bring your own if you need it. There was no bath or toilet in the room, though there was a toilet and shared bathroom on the same floor. The changing room entrance had an internal lock. The bathtub was big enough for two adults to stretch out and soak, or four adults sitting with their knees bent. They provided shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner. The toilet is unisex. The place was renovated in September 2024 and is very clean, with good value for money. Wi-Fi was available, and the hallway had a water server, microwave, and electric kettle.

A traditional business hotel with spacious single rooms and budget-friendly rates. It’s also conveniently close to the downtown area.
