Guest House Finecamp Share Room

I only managed one night here, which was a shame. It’s a lovely place near the beach, and the bikes make it easy to get around. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I’d recommend this guesthouse to anyone travelling around Kyushu who wants a nice place and a chance to meet people.

I wound up extending my stay because I felt so at home. Emi and her family were always kind and helpful, from sharing recommendations to giving me a ride when it rained. They even invited me along for surf sessions, which I won’t forget. The guesthouse has a really communal feel, with people meeting in the kitchen to cook or heading out to surf. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was great, and fresh towels were provided. Bikes make it easy to explore town and the different surf spots, and there’s a good selection of boards to rent. Emi and her family made me feel welcome from the minute I arrived. I can’t wait to return.

Had a great four days in Miyazaki. The room was clean, the price was reasonable, and the people and service were nice. It’s a five-minute walk from Sosanji train station, and Aoshima is about a 15-minute bike ride away. If you want to learn surfing, this is a great choice :)

I loved staying here. The guesthouse is clean, has a kitchen, and has a TV that’s great for watching a movie or listening to music together. It was a highlight of my time in Japan, and Miyazaki was too. The hosts are friendly and laid-back, and it’s easy to settle in. Plenty of people end up staying longer once they realize one or two nights isn’t enough, especially if they want to surf. There are lots of surf spots nearby, and the hostel lends bicycles for free. You can also rent a board, leash, and wetsuit for the whole day at a good price, and the gear is good quality. Surf lessons are available for beginners and more intermediate surfers, with GoPro footage. Having a car lets you reach more of the area. Getting here from Miyazaki airport or city is easy, with a bus stop and train station nearby. Restaurants and convenience stores are within cycling distance, as is Aoshima, and buses go to other nearby tourist sites. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miyazaki. Thank you!
