The staff were lovely, and the lobby and exterior look smart. There’s also a handy bar of amenities to pick from. Getting around is easy enough, with a bus stop close by and the station a short walk away. The hotel sits at the edge of the red light district. My room was comfortable, but the walls were VERY thin and I could hear the corridor and neighboring rooms. It also felt old and worn: cracks, peeling walls, and a sink that seemed to have nearly come out of its housing. Before reaching the elevator, you have to go up some stairs, which is awkward when you’re carrying bags or need mobility assistance. I enjoyed the stay well enough, and those problems weren’t dealbreakers. The price just didn’t match the room’s condition. It would feel fair if the room were in better shape, or the rate were lower.

Our bikes weren’t working, so we had to cancel the reservation we’d made for the day before. Even though it was through a partner site and the cancellation was tricky, the young gentleman handled it helpfully and with a great attitude. Thanks for helping us out!

Nothing about the place made me feel at ease, and it was easily the worst night I’ve spent in a hotel. The room and corridors smelled of smoke and urine, and cleanliness clearly wasn’t a priority. The walls were coming apart, the toilet felt about as cramped as an airplane one, and the beds were in such poor condition you could feel the springs when sitting on them. It’s the most run-down hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Please do yourself a favor and avoid it on holiday.
