Hotel Plaza Miyazaki

I booked the Japanese-style breakfast, and it was much more impressive than I expected. It arrived right at the time I'd reserved and tasted good, too. I was on a solo trip and paid 6,000 yen for a Saturday night with breakfast included. The room, bath, and bed were all spacious, and the price was cheaper than a business hotel. The main drawback was that check-in begins at 8pm, which feels a bit awkward when you're alone, and you have to call the front desk if you want to go out.

I stayed on August 18, 2025, and the female staff member on the evening shift, around 7-9pm, made the whole visit unpleasant. At reception she spoke so fast I couldn't understand and felt hurried. Later, when I ordered food from my room, she looked annoyed and handed it over without saying anything. I'd previously borrowed a charger here. This time she said there wasn't one and she'd look, then eventually found one and gave it to me without a word. The price, room, and service are good, and I'd like to stay again, but I really don't want to run into this staff member. Her attitude was terrible. What kind of training do they give the staff?

The service was great, with a welcome drink, fries, breakfast, and a pink robe you could take away. (lol) But the room smelled moldy as soon as I opened the door, and there was mold on the rather tacky pink walls. The bathroom floor was peeling, too. It had a Showa-era love hotel feel. (lol) If you're after a sweet, intimate stay with your girlfriend, this isn't the place. (lol)

The room feels old all over, and the TV is small. When the hotel is busy, there's no Wi-Fi. It isn't the sort of room for a sweet stay with someone special, and I don't think it's worth the price.
