Ocean Home Guest House

Really great.

The rooms are spacious enough for a family, and the place was clean and tidy. There are two private guest rooms, with a shared bathroom, lounge, TV, and kitchen. We got a better view from our room than anywhere else we visited in Miyazaki. OceanHome also draws people from all over the world. We spent late evenings chatting and having drinks together, and after four days we left as friends instead of just tourists. Every day was a lot of fun, and I'm grateful to John for making that kind of space possible. This is a relaxed guesthouse, not a hotel with lots of luxuries. John enjoys meeting people and is happy to spend an evening over a few drinks or a barbecue. The welcome is friendly, the ocean view is incredible, and it was a lovely break from city life. There's a wonderful dog here too, and it was great getting to know a real Miyazaki local. It's a great spot for surfing, the beach, hiking, or an onsen, and for anyone who loves nature and the outdoors. I'd hate to miss staying here.

On my first visit to Miyazaki, I was so happy to come across this guesthouse. The house, the scenery, the experience, and the owner were all wonderful. I hope I can see John again soon.
