The hospitality was almost overwhelming, and the traditional ryokan room was lovely. It was comfortable too, which was a nice extra.

The meals were satisfying and well worth what we paid, and we were very happy with them. We especially appreciated the thoughtful service from the owner. The location is wonderfully close to nature. We happened to stay during rough weather, so we could hear the wind and waves at night. There may be a few small things to nitpick, but overall we were quite satisfied.

Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and filling, and the staff at the guesthouse were kind and pleasant. The view was beautiful, with the sea close by and visible from the room window. Still, I was disappointed there weren't more things they could improve. The building is old but the interior has been renovated nicely, and for the reasonable price I suppose it's acceptable, though I have mixed feelings about it. The room felt cramped for two people. There was an air freshener despite the renovated interior, which made me uncomfortable, and people sensitive to chemicals might also find it unpleasant. The amenities were sparse. I forgot my comb and had no way to comb my hair. The bathroom was the biggest problem. The water was hot at the top but only lukewarm at the bottom, so I didn't use it. The shower pressure was weak, making it hard to adjust the temperature, and I couldn't wash properly.

We went out for crab, and it was awful. It tasted so bad that I never want to go back. The price was cheap at 33,000 yen for two people, but the crab seemed like the kind you can get at a local supermarket for around 1,800 yen. The room did have a decent distant view of the Amanohashidate pine forest, but I feel like I wasted my money.

The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and the meals made with fresh local ingredients were a highlight, especially the seafood. The white rice was so good my son ate three bowls at breakfast. We came as a family using the Go To Travel campaign because my husband had enjoyed his summer stay here so much. From our room, we had a wonderful view of Miyazu Bay. The guesthouse is a little old, but given its type and the price, I think that's reasonable. We used two rooms for our family of three, and the tatami mats were clean. We'd definitely like to return. Thank you very much.
